The Burke family made headlines in our local newspaper when we went on a trip to Washington DC. Daddy was a friend of, then, Congressman Jim Florio of New Jersey having helped him in his successful gubernatorial campaign. So we were all invited down to visit him in his congressional offices prior to him moving into Drumthwacket, the governor's mansion.
As we were going into the Rayburn building, Colleen was detained for hiding a concealed weapon.The cop was all business when he searched her Holly Hobbie pocketbook. Lo and behold, he found what he was looking for. Yes, my friends, a life of crime was nipped in the bud when the officer discovered that yellow plastic water pistol and took it away from her.
p.s. I took a picture of the newspaper photo, and that was bad to begin with, so excuse the darkness of the pix. Remember, if you click the picture it will get larger and you can see all the boogies on there adorable faces.
I've been to the Rayburn building too, they didn't take my water pistol. You all look so cute!
